Moo Creamery’s side by side blind tasting of Honey Wagon Brewing Company’s The Citra is Real DIPA and Tioga-Sequoia Brewing Company’s General Sherman TDH IPA with Citra is over and the results are in. It was close; only 5 votes separated these two exceptional brews. Congratulations to Tioga’s Gen. Sherman which came out on top. We are very lucky to have some great local breweries putting out so many delicious beers.

Imbibe Wine and Spirits has a couple new notable bottles that they posted about on their Instagram this weekend: Rogue Ales Rolling Thunder Imperial Stout and a collaboration sour by Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales and Monkish Brewing Company called Curcurbitophobia.

There’s a new burger joint opening up in the North West at the end of this month. Flame Burger is planning to open to the public on the corner of Hageman and Calloway in the old Juicy Burger spot on August 30th. Their focus is of course on hand crafted ½ lb. burgers and they plan to have a 24 handle tap list. One burger teased on their Facebook page is the Blueberry Burger! Some of the beers they will have on opening day are: Firestone Walker Luponic Distortion 002, Tioga-Sequoia Mt. Whitney XPA, Bear Republic Racer 5 IPA, Speakeasy Prohibition Ale and an unnamed beer by Honey Wagon
