Moo Creamery – Tap Takeover: AleSmith Brewing Company

MooAleSmithBrewing

This week’s tap takeover at Moo that I hinted about last week brings us AleSmith Brewing Company out of San Diego CA.  Celebrating their 20th anniversary this year AleSmith is a multi-award winning brewery that puts out a great selection of craft beers including the celebrated Speedway Stout.

Make sure you make it over to Moo Creamery to try these great beers.

Anvil ESB 5.5% 30 IBU

Anvil is their flagship beer.  It’s a British-style pub ale, amber color with a toasty malt flavor.

Horny Devil 10% 25 IBU

Belgian-style golden ale, fruity and spicy with orange, banana and peppercorn flavors.

Old Numbskull 11% 96 IBU

American barleywine with toasted malt and ripe dark fruit flavors.

Speedway Stout 12% 70 IBU

Fermented with locally-roasted coffee from Ryan Bros. brings out the chocolate, roasted malt, toffee, caramel and dark fruit flavors.  This stout is a smooth easy drinker despite it’s intensity.
