It’s a nice short read this week. We have Orval Day at Imbibe, Stone brings a couple IPAs to Eureka, home brewers meet at Temblor, and more On Tap This Week.
On Tap This Week
A look at the future, one week at a time.
Monday 3/20 – Steal the Pint this week at Bootleggers Craft Pub starts at 6 pm. No word yet on the featured beer. Watch for an announcement on social media.
Tuesday 3/21 – The monthly home brewer’s meeting is this Tuesday at Temblor Brewing Company. Local homebrewers are encouraged to come discuss home brewing and bring a bottle of their own creation to share. The meeting is from 6 – 8 PM. Bring $5 to help pay for the sensory analysis kit for the discussion topic of off flavors, building on John Agee’s presentation at the last meeting.
Wednesday 3/22 – The weekly Steal the Glass event over at Eureka Burger starts at 6 pm. This week features a couple of fresh Stone Brewing beers. Doublicious DIPA and Tangerine Express IPA will be on tap for your weekly India Pale Ale fix.
Wednesday 3/22 – Wednesday is Flights and Bites night at Moo Creamery. The pairing starts at 4 pm and goes until 9 pm. Watch for an announcement on social media for the pairings.
Saturday 3/25 – Imbibe Wine and Spirits brings us Orval Day! Buy 3 bottles get a chalice! Go to Imbibe anytime between now and the 25th and pick up a punch card. Fill your punch card up by buying three bottles of Orval and get an Orval logo chalice. Orval Belgian Pale Ale is a world renowned, highly rated beer brewed and bottle-conditioned at Notre Dame d’Orval Monastery that is considered “as close to brewing perfection as you can get”. In addition to its many accolades and high praise from beer geeks and brewers around the world, this beer’s origins go back pretty far. There’s a crazy story about a trout and a wedding ring you should ask Kevin about when you go.
