Wednesday 4/5 – Wednesday is Flights and Bites night at Moo Creamery. The pairing starts at 4 pm and goes until 9 pm. Watch for the beers to be announced on social media this week.
Friday 4/7 – This year’s KBS (Kentucky Breakfast Stout) by Founders Brewing is being released locally at Imbibe Wine and Spirits on Friday at 5 PM. This ticketed event costs $20 and comes with a bottle of KBS, a Founders logo glass and a 3 beer flight ending with a coffee glazed ice cream sandwich paired with KBS. The beers: PC Pils, Founders Imperial Stout, and KBS.

Temblor Brewing is releasing their newest One Hit Wonder, Jason Williams White Stout on Nitro, Monday, April 3rd. Also available at the brewery on the 3rd will be Lefty’s Double IPA. Temblor will be at the Selma Craft Beer Festival on the 8th.
Kern River Brewing has fresh Shuttle Bunny DIPA on tap at the brewery and was just bottled last week. Think Tank 13 IPA and Long Swim DIPA will be available at the brewery mid-April.
Local Craft Beer Tehachapi is asking its fans to dictate what their next bottle release should be. The release is set for early May. Voice your opinion by messaging them on social media. Do you want to see Juicy IPA, Hazy IPA, or Tyson’s signature super dank West Coast double IPA? Let them know. A portion of LCB’s Imperial Coffee Stout collaboration with Eureka Burger weighing in at 14% ABV, will be on tap next week at the brewery. The rest of it will be aging in barrels for exclusive release at multiple Eureka Burger locations this time next year.

Mash Time – A Brewing Podcast – A local station for discussing home brewing and craft beer, hosted by Stuart Hoetker and John Agee out of Bakersfield CA. Episode 16 features local home brewers Jared Wyatt and Chase Shepherd talking about New England style IPAs and Justin Cross, founder of the Global Brew Coalition calling in from Arizona to talk about brewing.
IPA Today Podcast – A local podcast critiquing beers and wasting time. Hosted by Kenny and Richie with frequent appearances by Uncle Frank and Joey. Episode 34 is part two of the guys trip up to LCB Tehachapi.
I’m Not Kevin Podcast – A podcast with a focus on stories and random talk with friends and family. They usually drink beer and occasionally talk about beer. Check them out and give a listen. Episode 14 features lots of local beer talk and some phone calls. Some crazy dude named Kenny calls in.

The most recent post is a promotion for the Country and Craft Beer Festival that was yesterday. It also includes his recipe for the amazing Coconut Porter he was pouring at the home brew tent.

Selma Craft Beer Fest is scheduled for April 8th from 2 – 6 pm at Selma’s Pioneer Village. In addition to craft breweries from the area, local home brew clubs the San Joaquin Warthogs and TCHOPS home brew club are scheduled to pour. Get pre-paid tickets here for $20 or at the door for $25.
On Saturday, April 22nd the Macaroni and Cheese Festival comes to the CSUB Amphitheater. Tickets are $50 and include: 20+ breweries and wineries pouring, a logo glass to take home and gourmet Mac and Cheese samples. The event goes from 2 – 6 pm and you can get your tickets on Eventbrite.
The 5th Annual Bakersfield Craft Beer Festival will be held on Saturday May 13th from 1 pm – 5 pm (VIP get in at 12 pm) this year at the CSUB Amphitheater. Tickets are available online, at Imbibe Wine and Spirits, Temblor Brewing, Dionysus Brewing, and all three Lengthwise locations. Follow them on Facebook and Instagram for a chance to win tickets to this year’s event.
The Pizza and Craft Beer Fest at Craft Tap House is scheduled for May 21st. From 1 – 5 pm local pizza vendors will be selling slices, there will also be a pizza competition and 50 beers on tap for purchase. General admission tickets are $10 and VIP is $50. The VIP tickets come with early entry at 12 pm, a VIP shaded area with seating, a $10 drink card and pizza sampling. Tickets are available at Craft Tap House, Impact Streetwear, and True Standard Barbershop.
This year’s Tehachapi Mountain Beer and Wine Fest is scheduled for July 15th from 4 pm – 8 pm at Benz Visco Sports Park. Get your tickets for this event online and be sure to enter promo code “Local” for discounted general admission tickets or “VeryVIP” for discounted VIP tickets.
